Terms, Privacy & Policies

The following pages set out CANILA’s policies in general terms. They are placeholder text pending review by qualified legal counsel and will be updated before public launch.

Disclaimer

CANILA — Canada International Liaison & Access — is an independent international liaison organization. CANILA is not the Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), a Canadian embassy, or a Canadian consulate, and holds no authority to issue Canadian visas, permits, or immigration decisions.

Submitting an application through CANILA does not guarantee approval by any government or third-party authority. Eligibility assessments provided by CANILA are preliminary only; final decisions rest exclusively with the competent authority.

Where immigration advice or legal representation is required by law, applicants must seek assistance from appropriately authorized professionals. CANILA’s services are limited to orientation, document organization, and application support.

Terms of Service

By creating a CANILA account or using CANILA’s services, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to use the platform only for its intended purpose of preparing and submitting applications related to Canada tourism, study, and work pathways.

CANILA reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, misuse the platform, or violate applicable law. Service fees are described at the time of purchase and are subject to CANILA’s Refund Policy below.

Privacy Policy

CANILA collects personal information — including contact details, identity documents, and application data — solely to process applications, verify identity where required, and provide related services. Information is stored using access-controlled, encrypted infrastructure and is never sold to third parties.

Documents and personal data are retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law. Applicants may request a copy of, or the deletion of, their personal data by contacting CANILA directly, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements.

Refund Policy

Refund eligibility depends on the stage an application has reached. Service fees are generally refundable in full before document review begins, and are non-refundable once CANILA staff have begun processing the associated work. Government or third-party fees paid on an applicant’s behalf, where applicable, are non-refundable once submitted.

Membership Terms

A CANILA membership provides access to a digital membership card and related verification features. A CANILA membership card is a CANILA-issued credential only — it is not a government-issued identification document and does not confer any immigration status or right of entry.

CANILA is an independent international liaison organization and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, or any Canadian embassy or consulate. Submitting an application through CANILA does not guarantee approval by any government or third-party authority. Eligibility assessments provided by CANILA are preliminary only.
